Joe is widely recognized as a leader in the field of retail store design. His understanding of brand analysis, identity development, visual merchandising and store planning has taken Bergmeyer to national prominence. Joe’s expertise in strategic positioning and the relationship between design excellence and the customer experience has helped Bergmeyer achieve national recognition. In his near 35-year career, Joe has worked with Patagonia, Jos. A. Bank, Talbots, Levi’s, Dockers, GH Bass & Co. and DICK’S Sporting Goods, and known to collaborate with competitors to deliver the right solution. Joe is a frequent speaker at design schools and industry conferences. In 2016, he was named a Retail Design Luminary by design:retail magazine. Joe studied at Northern Virginia Community College and Boston Architectural College.
