Marketing Communications Manager

Core Responsibilities 

  • Produce marketing materials including proposals, brochures, award submissions, and editing of presentations for speaking engagements and client meetings
  • Copy writing, editing of press releases and other marketing materials
  • Develop content for publication, press releases, firm website and social media. Adapt content from research, market data, and discussions with firm leaders into meaningful content for PR and social media
  • Manage social media communications and tracking to carry messages to target audiences 
  • Manage scheduling and oversight of photo shoots 
  • Coordinate award submissions, and other marketing efforts
  • Maintain and update marketing collateral templates and resources including brochures, project profiles, images, resumes, etc.
  • Support event planning implementation for business development activities, speaking engagements, and industry associations

Qualifications 

  • BA degree in Marketing Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English or related area of study. Significant work experience may be considered in lieu of a degree
  • High level of proficiency with the full Adobe Creative Suite, Microsoft Office, Social Media Marketing tools and Content Management. Demonstrated skills in graphic design, verbal communication, writing, and editing
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in a marketing, graphic design or communications role
  • Experience in architecture/construction/real estate industry or digital marketing is a plus
  • Experience with Deltek Vision and Open Asset is preferred

Market Leader

for hospitality and restaurant projects with 10+ years of experience

Role Responsibilities 

  • Manage client, internal and external team, and project coordination and communication with high quality thoughtful solutions for multiple fast paced projects at a given time
  • Identify and bring to fruition strategic partnerships which enhance the firm's portfolio of design focused hospitality projects
  • Work within the firm's business plans to develop and secure new client relationships and opportunities 
  • Manage relationships with clients
  • Maintain an active and visible presence in the design community through participating in industry events and conferences, involvement in professional organizations, and representing Bergmeyer in business development opportunities
  • Lead, manage, and mentor design teams
  • Manage project finances including fees, contracts and internal and external budgets
  • Successfully navigate hearings with building and zoning officials regarding project approvals (locations throughout the United States)

Essential Skills

  • Advanced technical problem solving capabilities regarding building construction and technologies, and advanced coordination with consultant disciplines 
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively and work closely with clients while building trust and loyalty and directing the decision making process related to design 
  • Knowledge and understanding of the hospitality and food service industry including; merchandising, business strategy, visual presentation, furniture, equipment and millwork; hospitality/amenity space design, optimization of operational efficiency 
  • Knowledge and insight into dining and hospitality trends in areas such as emerging markets and experiential design 
  • Experience with FF&E specification; experience with FF&E Procurement a plus

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Design 
  • Architecture Licensure or NCIDQ certification preferred. LEED AP accreditation is a plus
  • 10+ years of relevant experience, including recent experience with restaurant and hospitality based projects 
  • Graphic and verbal presentation skills including hand sketching required 
  • Proficiency with Adobe Creative Suite and Microsoft Office a must. Experience with Revit and Sketch-Up a plus

Senior Job Captain

Essential Skills and Responsibilities

  • Experience with fast-paced, technical projects
  • Ability to graphically communicate ideas quickly and effectively
  • Technical capabilities regarding building construction and technologies
  • Software proficiency in Revit with the ability to build custom Revit Families and other high level on demand content creation 
  • Participation in the full design process from conceptual design through construction administration as a member of a project team working on interior architecture-based projects
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work closely with clients
  • Independently conduct site surveys and full code and accessibility reviews
  • Prepare design development and construction document packages with project team, consultants, contractors, and vendors 

Qualifications

  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture
  • Licensure track and LEED AP status preferred
  • Substantial Revit experience required 
  • Proficiency in SketchUp, Adobe Creative Cloud applications, and Microsoft Office 
  • Minimum of 5 years of recent experience in retail or restaurant based projects

Interior Design Leader

for academic foodservice, residence halls, hospitality and restaurant projects with 15+ years experience

Essential Skills and Responsibilities

  • Exceptional graphic communication skills including the ability to graphically communicate an idea quickly and effectively
  • Knowledge and understanding of the food service industry, including merchandising, business strategy, visual presentation, furniture, equipment and millwork; hospitality/amenity, space design, academic housing design
  • Initiate innovative design concepts and lead strategy efforts for multiple projects simultaneously
  • Able to execute test fits and feasibility planning, research and select finishes and materials, and create design presentation decks and full schematic drawings including floor plans, reflected ceiling plans, finish plans, and exterior elevations
  • Strong technical base including working collaboratively with consultants in the fields of MEP/FP engineering, lighting design, food service, and equipment design
  • Lead, manage and mentor design teams (most staff have 5-10 years experience)
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to communicate effectively and work closely with clients while building trust and loyalty and directing the decision making process related to design
  • Meet deadlines with high quality, thoughtful solutions in a fast paced environment
  • Maintain an active and visible presence in the design community through participating in industry events and conferences, involvement in professional organizations, and representing Bergmeyer in business development opportunities
  • Knowledge of and insight into dining and hospitality design trends in areas such as emerging markets and experiential design
