Designer/Project Manager

with 8+ years experience

We are searching for a creative and resourceful Designer/Project Manager with a positive, collaborative work style to work on projects for several of our national clients.

Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Architecture
  • On track for Licensure and LEED AP status preferred
  • Revit experience in a Professional Setting required
  • Proficiency in Revit, Sketch-Up and Adobe Creative Suite preferred
  • Minimum of 8 years of recent experience in all phases of project

Essential Skills and Responsibilities:

  • Strong design and technical expertise
  • Ability to graphically communicate an idea quickly and effectively, backed by strong technical capabilities regarding building construction and technologies, detailing and consultant coordination.
  • Participation in the full design process from due diligence to conceptual design and approvals through Construction Administration as a member of a project team working on architecture-based projects.
  • Prior experience with architectural design and detailing for ground up and renovation projects is required
  • Prior experience with fast paced, technical projects
  • Prior experience managing multiple projects and supervision of junior staff
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work closely with clients
  • Solid understanding of building, energy and accessibility codes in jurisdictions nationally
  • Ability to prepare design development and construction document packages with project team, consultants, contractors, and vendors
  • Prior experience coordinating work of consultants
  • Prior experience with Construction Administration and knowledge of construction methods
  • Coordinate LEED documentation with our in-house Sustainability Coordinator

Travel may be required, approximately 5%.

  • Ability to graphically communicate an idea quickly and effectively, backed by strong technical capabilities regarding building construction and technologies, millwork detailing and consultant coordination
  • Participation in the full design process from conceptual design through Construction Administration as a member of a project team working on interior architecture-based projects
  • Experience with fast paced, technical projects
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to work closely with clients
  • Conduct site surveys and full code and accessibility reviews
  • Prepare design development and construction document packages with project team, consultants, contractors, and vendors
  • Coordinate LEED documentation with our in-house Sustainability Director

In response to growth of project opportunities throughout our markets, Bergmeyer is looking for creative and resourceful design professionals to join the West Coast office of our Boston, MA headquartered firm. As our practice becomes more global, we believe that having a core, Los Angeles-based team will allow us to serve our rapidly growing markets more effectively. Building on our recent success working with remotely located team members, we are committed to expanding our base of operations in Downtown LA. This is a new venture for Bergmeyer with significant professional opportunities available to new team members.

We are searching for a creative and resourceful Designer/Job Captain with a positive, collaborative professional demeanor to work in partnership on a variety of projects for several of our national clients.

Qualifications:

  • Professional degree in Architecture or Interior Architecture
  • On track for Licensure preferred
  • REVIT experience in a Professional Setting required.
  • Proficiency in REVIT, Sketch-Up, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent design firm experience in retail or workplace projects, across all phases.

  • Ability to graphically communicate an idea quickly and effectively, backed by strong technical capabilities regarding building construction and technologies, practical detailing and consultant coordination.
  • Participation in the full design process from conceptual design through Construction Administration as a member of a project team working on interior architecture-based projects.
  • Experience with fast-paced, technical projects.
  • Strong organizational skills – with an emphasis on the ability to work closely with clients and external partners.
  • Conduct site surveys and full code and accessibility reviews with a Project Manager.
  • Prepare design development and construction document packages with project team, consultants, contractors, and vendors.

Travel may be required, approximately 5-10%.
