​Bergmeyer is pleased to announce our California Closets San Francisco Showroom 2.0 prototype design recently won the Silver Award in the Service Retailer category at the annual Shop! Design Awards. Held on March 29th at GlobalShop in Las Vegas, the Shop! Design Awards celebrate and recognize the best new designs in retail environments and experiences.

Rachel Zsembery, a Principal at Bergmeyer, was recently named one of design:retail magazine’s 40 Under 40 recipients in their inaugural awards program! The editorial team culled down the list of nominees to those that had the biggest impact on the industry through their leadership and accomplishments. Rachel and the other honorees will celebrate at the New York CitySCENE event on May 18 and will also be featured in the April/May issue of design:retail. She is incredibly well-deserving of this award and we couldn’t be prouder.

IIDA New England’s Post Fashion Show Exhibit at the Innovation and Design Building has been featured on the blog of Design New England, one of the area’s premiere publications for design professionals. Written by Gail Ravgiala, editor at Design New England and a former fashion show judge! Since winning big at the Fashion Show last October with “Best in Show” and “People’s Choice” awards, Bergmeyer was ecstatic to design the exhibit too.

Bergmeyer is pleased to have designed the exhibit for the IIDA New England Fashion Show Exhibit, on display for the next month at The Innovation and Design Building. Printing for exhibition material was generously provided by ARC Document Solutions, located in the ID Building.

Every year, the BSA Membership Committee invites the best of local student work for consideration in the BSA Student Design Showcase, and then celebrates the best of the best at the BSA Space. The jury was impressed with the quality, thoughtfulness, and quantity of the submissions. One of the finalists chosen for the showcase is Bergmeyer’s own, JD Myers, an exceptionally talented designer with a vast skill set.

The architecture and building industry’s biggest event of the year, ArchitectureBoston Expo, was held just a few short weeks ago. The three-day conference had presentation and workshops in a variety of formats and multiple educational tracks like “building performance,” “codes and regulations,” and “the future of practice.” Architect Rachel Lanzafame, AIA, LEED AP BD+C offers recaps two sessions she attended last month on the links between BIM and facilities management and the lean construction process.

Started in 2012, TEDxBeaconStreet is one of the most innovative TEDx events in the world.  The annual event, taking place on November 15 and 16 at the Lincoln School in Brookline, will include TEDxYouth@BeaconStreet program with the theme “Worlds Imagined” and a block dedicated to Google’s Solve for X Moonshot Ideas and panel discussions. As we’ve done for the past couple years, Bergmeyer set the stage with recycled materials for this unique 2-day community event, featuring thought leaders from all walks of life, captivating Adventures, and a diverse multi-generational audience.

The IIDA New England Fashion Show is one of the most anticipated industry events of the year. The theme Adaptation was the focus for the annual event, taking place on October 23 at the Boston Convention Center. Bergmeyer took home top honors with the People’s Choice award and Best in Show. Congrats to the Bergmeyer team and all teams who participated! It was an incredible night.

Hostelling International leadership recognized an opportunity to raise their profile in Boston by creating an urban flagship with multipurpose public spaces that deepen connections between the organization and the amenities outside its doors. Principal Joe Nevin attended the Gala Opening of Levi’s Stadium, the new home of the San Francisco 49ers, with Cambridge Seven Associates. Inside the stadium is the Flagship Store and Stadium Retail for the 49ers, a collaborative project with Bergmeyer at C7A.

A team of Bergmeyer designed and constructed the 2013 TEDx Beacon Street stage using 10,000 donated aluminum cans and plastic bottles. After the show, the stage was disassembled and recycled. The proceeds from the recycled cans and bottles were donated to Lincoln School, the host of the event. Watch the team work!
