What motivated you to become a designer (or current role?)?

At a very early age I knew had a knack for space planning. After learning I could have a “real job” in this, I looked into all the different things an Interior Designer does and knew it was the perfect role for me. I love being able to wear so many hats now!

What does successful workplace culture mean to you?

To me this means a culture that empowers you to work towards your full potential by offering support, resources, and encouragement along the way. Having teammates with confidence in your abilities (even if you don’t feel that way yet) is critical to being successful.

If you had to pick one word that best represents Bergmeyer's culture, what would it be, and why?

Kind – I believe Bergmeyer has a very special way of making everyone feel equal, appreciated, and welcomed.

What is your most unshakable vice?

Eating an unhealthy amount of Oreos. It is physically impossible for me to eat just one.

Where have you gotten lost on purpose?

I would never choose to get lost on purpose, I'm too type A, but I have gotten lost accidentally before. When I was living in Florence, Italy, my friend and I were so excited to find a cheap train to Siena, Italy that we immediately got on it without even getting a city map or list of things to see. It ended up being one of my favorite day trips!

What valuable lesson did you learn from your parents?

You can catch more flies with honey than with vinegar.

In a parallel universe, what is your profession?

Either an international tour guide or a travel agent working remotely.

What was your first job?

I worked at a bagel shop for about four years and I always got to take home the unsold bagels at the end of the day. It was great!

When was your best day ever?

The day I got an offer letter from Bergmeyer ;)

What's your favorite TV show right now?

I always try to find a new show on Netflix, but I just keep coming back to The Office. I've lost track of the amount of times I've watched the series through. One day I watched 23 episodes in a row...is that bad?
