What advice would you give to your ten-year-old self?

Put your foot down on letting your mom cut your hair. The bowl cut is not, in fact, “adorable.”

What’s your biggest regret?

I choose to think of it as information rather than regret, but I do wish that I’d lived in Italy for my entire junior year instead of just the spring semester. I was just getting decent at haggling in Italian when I had to leave, and now I can only speak Italian when I’m on my second glass of wine.

What’s your biggest ambition?

To raise a feminist son who is kind, compassionate, curious, and well aware of his advantage in life as a white male in America.

What's your go-to energy booster?

When in doubt, dance it out.

What's your Kryptonite?
Movie theater popcorn with the elusive real butter…. Or ruffles with the onion dip you make by dumping Lipton soup into sour cream. I have zero self-control around both and zero shame about it.
