What motivated you to become a designer (or current role?)?

I’ve always been interested in design and aesthetics. As a kid, it was putting inspiration boards together, and constantly moving the furniture around in my house to get the “right feel”, I’m sure my parents loved that. I’ve always loved space planning and organization so that things were not only pretty but functional as well - the study of the way people use a space is crucial to good design.

What does successful workplace culture mean to you?

When you are happy to come to work every day. I think it shows when an employee feels valued because it reflects in their attitude. I also think building friendships and respect within the workplace is important, because it gives you a greater connection to the work you are doing, and creates a fun environment to work in. Finding people that inspire you to be a better designer, and who you can learn from is very important.

What would you be doing if you were not working in this industry?

I’d be an Inspirational lifestyle blogger and food photographer. I absolutely love the aesthetic of things and I think it’s important that people understand and feel in control of who they want to be and what they do every day. Giving people the outlet to explore and be inspired by new things that make them feel alive.

Introvert or extrovert?

Introvert all the way.

What are your top three travel destinations?

Budapest, Hungary. Florence, Italy. Munich, Germany. I’ve been to all 3 and I would go back in a second!

Where do you go for a weekend getaway?

White Mountains in New Hampshire

What inspires you?

The fact that we are in control of who we want to be, what we do, and what we believe in – and that we have the right to evolve and change those things at any given time.

What's your favorite season?

A mix between the end of summer – beginning of fall OR a nice spring day is always good too!

Where do you feel most at home?

Anywhere by the water. Living on the North Shore taught me to appreciate that.

In a parallel universe, what is your profession?

When I was little I wanted to teach monkeys sign language, so we’ll go with that. But now, I’d say being a positivity/food blogger and motivational speaker.
