Have you ever gotten lost on purpose?

In my free time. I’ll pick a neighborhood of Boston that I’m not familiar with, bring just my sketchbook, and get lost. Picking random streets and finding spots to sketch is how I find my way.

What’s the difference between art and design?

Who says there has to be? Design is the plan or construction of something. Art can be anything, it’s subjective. Though art may not have a plan, design can often be just a series of impulses. I’d argue they aren’t so different.

What’s inside your favorite cocktail?

Tequila. Anything that has tequila, especially spicy tequila.

Where would you take a month-long road trip?

I have always wanted to take a two-month trip all around Europe. I had plans after graduation in 2020 to do so……My trip included 10 cities starting off in London, moving through to Paris, Amsterdam, Italy, Greece, and ending in Portugal. I hope to take it in the future.

What were your first two jobs?

For my first job, I worked at Brown University Medical Center. I was only about 10. My job was to pretend I was sick and medical students would treat it as a real doctor’s appointment. It was a pretty good gig, they gave me free pizza AND paid me. For my second job, I worked in a library shelving and packing books. Yes, I had to learn the dewy-decimal system and yes, I still know it.

What does your music library look like?

Post Malone is usually my go-to artist. I like to listen to a little of everything, except country. When I’m working it keeps me interested and awake to have a big variety. I usually shift between rap, alternative, old-school rock, and some pop.
