What motivated you to become a designer (or current role?)?
Growing up with a dad in construction on the cape meant a lot of architectural drawing sets were in and out of the house. I was always taking a look at the drawings with my dad as he showed me the layout and the adjustments he needed to make to build the client's dream house. When you asked 4-year old me, I wanted to be an interior designer. Being around the side of construction is what sparked my appreciation for the architecture/ design. My love for math and the arts is what lead me to choose an architecture degree. At the end of my education and a few internships later, it was clear that I had a passion for the overall design, interior, exterior, and identity as a whole. That is how I landed at Bergmeyer, there is no divide between industries, and a designer is just that a designer. It allows me to live out my 4-year old self's dream, use the knowledge I learn in school, and continue to learn, design, and grow.
When you are retired and look back on your life, what is the biggest accomplishment you hope to achieve?
To me, my biggest accomplishment wouldn’t stop at retirement but continue on later in life. When I think of my biggest accomplishment I don’t often think of one specific project or goal, I strive to make an impact in various areas both at work and in my personal life.
If you had to pick one word that best represents Bergmeyer's culture, what would it be, and why?
