Kicking off on October 28, the ArchitectureBoston Expo (ABX) is a three-day event that provides thought-provoking programs and educational workshops for the building industry. As one of the first sessions of the conference, Principal Mike Davis, FAIA of Bergmeyer will be presenting with Karen Robichaud of Payette on the value of social media in architectural practice.
As social media has begun to penetrate the architecture and design community, individuals and firms face choices about how to engage with a variety of platforms. From determining content to tone of voice to frequency of posting to value, there are a lot of decisions to be made when it comes to embracing social media. The session will be presented as an interactive workshop, emphasizing staff education and on-boarding, building community, setting clear and achievable goals as well as content curation and platform selection. To demonstrate the value of social media, Mike and Karen will provide examples of successful applications, including Mike Davis’ prominent blog on Bergmeyer’s progress toward the AIA 2030 Commitment and the firm-wide engagement in Payette’s social media presence.
