At the heart of the Endicott College campus, the Samuel C. Wax Academic Center and Quad will be two state-of-the-art academic buildings surrounding a dramatically landscaped quadrangle.
To help the College optimize the value of its capital expenditures, Bergmeyer worked closely in a design/build partnership with Windover Construction and the College to study new and existing building renovation options in order to meet Endicott’s programmatic and budgetary needs.
Electing to design and build a new facility, the Wax Center will be home to the school’s arts and sciences, education, communication, and hospitality departments along with graduate school programs. Phase 1, which opened in May 2019, features 27 state-of-the-art classrooms, a television studio, 125 faculty and administrator offices, and collaborative and social spaces. Phase 2, scheduled to open in December 2020, will feature a large tiered lecture hall, seminar and study rooms, and a cafe. The transformative project will be the campus’ epicenter for years to come.
