How do you translate an online retail presence into your first brick and mortar store? How do you best execute a company’s objectives? How long will it take and how much will it cost? When clients come to Bergmeyer with questions such as these, we not only provide answers, we take them through the entire design journey – from a store’s initial concept to its grand opening.
The “pop-up” experience continues to be a fresh, temporary way for retailers to test their market and create brand awareness. While pop-ups remove the pressure of committing to a long-term lease, the stakes for creating successful short-term consumer experiences are still high. Our retail designers understand the complexities retailers are faced with and know how to address the challenges and concerns. So when Habbi Habbi needed a versatile retail design and strategic partner to help bring the brand’s first physical space to life – a pop-up in Palo Alto, equal parts experiential playroom, community hub, and retail showroom – they came to Bergmeyer.
Habbi Habbi’s founders, two “mompreneurs,” were already shaking up the world of toys and early childhood learning; their next step was to create a pop-up retail space to connect with customers and introduce the brand to a new audience. From concept design to construction to store merchandising and product placement, our team collaborated with the dynamic duo to bring Habbi Habbi’s pop-up to life. With a start-up budget, a tight, six-week schedule, and the goal of encapsulating Habbi Habbi’s nine core values and playful branding, our team designed an efficient and flexible space to meet the various intentions for the 475 SF pop-up.
Although the store was temporary, the experience created by the space and the impression of the brand formed lasting impressions on everyone who visited. Habbi Habbi’s Instagram feed shows how fans and followers embraced the experience and made it their own. The pop-up location played a valuable role in Habbi Habbi’s long-term vision to create healthy, happy, and humble experiences that will serve to nurture future generations.
