From renowned sportswear company Lululemon comes Kit and Ace, a new high-end clothing company specializing in Technical Cashmere. Their goal is to create fashionable street wear with the properties and comfort of athletic wear for the on-the-go professional. Their team of designers, engineers and scientists have developed a performance fabric called Qemir™ which allows for you to stay fresh run after run, and the quality to stand strong wash after wash.
Originally hired for a single flagship store on Newbury Street in Boston, we were asked to take on fourteen more locations within the first two quarters of the year. This included the newest location at the World Trade Center Oculus in New York City at the heart of Ground Zero. Each store is unique to the location as it incorporates the storefront into its context and aims to provide more than just another shopping experience. Kit and Ace makes it a point to seek out local artisans for custom-made light fixtures, revolving art installments and a collaborative table piece to create a space for the community to gather.
The flexibility of the space offers the opportunity for the user to give feedback and work with the designers to create their own unique wardrobe based on their needs and lifestyle. This collaborative effort can be seen from the top down through the company. Our ideas were valued and met with trust as we worked fast-paced to create a brand new and custom design, and incorporating local jurisdictions for each store. “Time is precious. Make sure your clothing keeps up.”
