Years with Bergmeyer: 7

What are you currently working on at Bergmeyer? Everything! My primary responsibilities include: providing a good first impression of Bergmeyer for our clients & v…isitors, maintaining Bergmeyer’s legal and registration status in 44 states, and also satisfying the varied dietary (aka candy) requirements of the team!

What do you love about working at Bergmeyer? I love being surrounded by all of the creative people here at Bergmeyer, from the interns through the principals. I love their enthusiasm for work and life. The way I view it is that I have 60+ surrogate children and numerous Bergmeyer grandchildren. I also love the wide variety of projects that I have the opportunity to be involved in on any given day.

What hobbies are you passionate about? Walking! I walk 4-5 miles per day. I don’t even listen to music – I just go! I also love gardening and decorating.

What is the most exotic place you have visited? On one of my many trips to Switzerland, I traveled with my Mom to visit long-time friends. We took a boat across the lake from Lucerne to Weggi, traveled up the mountain in a cable car, and then hiked our way down. The weather as we traveled from Lucerne was a cloudy 32 degrees and we were told that the top of the mountain was always cloudy as well. To our surprise and delight, when we arrived at the summit it was sunny and 72. It was a special experience that I’ll never forget.

What building/ interior space has inspired you the most? One of our own projects: MARS Snackfood’s headquarters. I’m not sure which came first, everyone at Bergmeyer’s love for M&M’s or the Mars Snackfood project. My guess is everyone’s love for M&M’s because you can see it in the color and whimsy (large scale M&M characters) incorporated into the space. It was also exciting when the giant Dove chocolate “D” arrived in our lobby during the design stage of the project! http://www.bergmeyer.com/projects_mars-snackfood-us.html
