Have you ever gotten lost on purpose?
Life gets boring when you know where you're going! I find myself filling in my own mental map by exploring during my time in a place. The coolest locations are often not on found a map - so you really have to look!
Where would you take a month-long road trip?
I would explore as much as the Balkans as I can. I'd start in Slovenia and work my way down to Southern Greece (maybe some islands too). Both sides of my cultural heritage are from this region, so I would explore and capture my experience through photography!
What is a work-related book you'd recommend?
The Image of the City by Kevin Lynch. This book is an essential read for designers and anyone who wonders about the how and why behind well-functioning urban environments. Using localized comparisons and relevant examples help provide a deeper understanding of the parts that make our cities function.
Where do you go for a weekend getaway?
A new city or town I've never been too within transit distance, or somewhere with a beautiful view.
What do you do when you're at a dinner party and the conversation gets awkward?
Become the elephant in the room! Don't let the awkwardness win, give 'em something to talk about!
What does music look like?
Music is everything, and everything is music! Depending on the situation and setting, the experience of the music can totally change. From a classically arranged chamber composition performed by an orchestra in a philharmonic hall to a smoky basement in someone's hometown where artists express themselves through heavy drum and bass, the space and atmosphere create completely different acoustic experiences and become part of the music itself.
