sweetgreen
With their sights set on the north, sweetgreen engaged our team for a collaborative approach to design that has set the foundation for future growth of this prevalent salad chain.
Sweetgreen's foray into New Hampshire marked an exciting chapter for this fast-casual salad chain renowned for its fresh, locally sourced ingredients. Bergmeyer’s role in their debut project in the state showcased our ability to seamlessly integrate with their East Coast team, complementing their New York operations with our extensive experience in fast-paced QSR environments.
The project involved a comprehensive interior fit-out and storefront design for sweetgreen's first New Hampshire location, set in a newly developed area that had transitioned from a horse track to a vibrant retail hub anchored by Tuscan Market. Nestled in an end-cap space adjacent to an internal breezeway with residential units above, the site presented unique challenges, from the lack of preexisting expectations to adapting to a new development setting.
Our approach centered on clear, high-level communication and a collaborative problem-solving strategy, which impressed our client’s team and ensured a smooth process. Working closely with their internal design team, we embraced a neutral palette featuring tile, painted wood, and solid wood materials, with accents of black, white, warm wood tones, and green highlights. Granite featured prominently in the community table, a nod to New Hampshire's "Granite State" identity. This successful project not only established sweetgreen’s presence in New Hampshire but also set the stage for future growth, reflecting our commitment to meeting client needs and supporting their expansion with innovative solutions.
