The Kitchen Table
A first-of-its-kind restaurant experience on the bourbon trail featuring a full-service bar and restaurant built at the heart of the JBBDCo campus.
It had been over a decade since any significant updates had been made to the James B. Beam Distilling Company's (JBBDCo) campus. Recognizing an opportunity to create a contemporary customer journey to preserve this historical brand and connect it to a new generation of bourbon enthusiasts, JBBDCo embarked on a multi-phase renovation of its campus.
Under the creative direction of LOVE and Bergmeyer as the project architect, overseeing the new restaurant's specifications, material sourcing, detailing, and execution, JBBDCo sought to create an immersive campus tour that would draw in new and returning visitors with an unparalleled program that encourages guests to make this a repeat trip for years to come.
A first-of-its-kind experience and benchmark for the bourbon trail, The Kitchen Table features a full-service, whiskey-forward bar and restaurant at the heart of the JBBDCo campus. The newly constructed building surrounded by JBBDCo's working campus and visitor experience created a much-desired culinary program. Guests can enjoy a delectable meal with locally sourced ingredients paired with one of the world's most exclusive bourbon collections. The restaurant encourages guests from the local community and afar to visit the campus and stay for a menu that serves the Beam family's favorite recipes alongside a bar program celebrating the full suite of Beam whiskies.
The Kitchen Table boasts a hero bourbon and cocktail bar with a double-height vaulted ceiling, an open kitchen with a pizza oven, and two verandas, one covered with formal seating, and an open one with swing seats and views of the forest and landscape. Staying true to the family motto, "Come as friends, leave as family," Master Distiller Freddie Noe hosts guests for special occasions at a private table inspired by the Noe Family Kitchen.
At The Kitchen Table, visitors can conclude their campus visit by lounging in rocking chairs on the front porch, enjoying a beverage and campus view from the elevated porch, or swinging under the open veranda overlooking the Bernheim forest, similar experiences enjoyed by generations of master distillers within the Beam family.
