Avra Estiatorio
This elegant dining destination transforms the feeling of a sun-drenched Mediterranean garden into an immersive hospitality experience, where visionary design, layered materiality, and thoughtful execution come together to create a space that feels both refined and effortlessly inviting.
As Architect of Record, Bergmeyer worked closely with designer Rockwell Group to shepherd the project from inspired concept to realized masterpiece, ensuring every creative ambition was met with technical integrity. This collaborative role placed Bergmeyer at the heart of the process- translating Rockwell Group's visionary design into the detailed documentation, regulatory approvals, and coordinated expertise required to bring the space to life. It was a partnership built on trust, precision, and a shared commitment to delivering something truly extraordinary. As the local Architect of Record, Bergmeyer served as the critical on-the-ground presence- building strong working relationships with the landlord and general contractor to keep the project moving with precision and purpose. When technical challenges arose, our proximity and deep familiarity with local building requirements allowed us to respond quickly, resolve issues in real time, and maintain the integrity of Rockwell Group's design vision without losing momentum. That local expertise and hands-on coordination is something we take pride in- ensuring that no matter how complex the challenge, the client's experience is seamless and the finished space speaks for itself. This elegant dining space evokes a sun-drenched Mediterranean garden brought indoors, with mature olive trees anchoring the room and softening the space. The warm, earthy palette is carried throughout -cream and taupe upholstered banquettes, linen-draped tables, and warm oak hardwood flooring create a layered, organic richness. The ceiling combines wood slats evocative of a trellis with mirrored inset panels, adding depth and a touch of drama overhead. Ambient lighting is thoughtfully layered- warm cove lighting washes the walls, while small shaded table lamps cast an intimate golden glow across each setting. Terracotta vessels and lush greenery are woven throughout as sculptural elements, reinforcing the garden narrative. The overall material palette- natural plaster, aged wood, woven textiles, glass, and botany- creates a space that feels simultaneously refined and effortlessly organic.
