BRUNT Workwear
For BRUNT's first flagship, Bergmeyer traded polish for authenticity, turning jobsite materials and a porta-potty-hidden insights room into a retail experience built for its community.

The best retail experiences are built on authenticity and community. BRUNT Store 001 delivers both.
For its first flagship, BRUNT had a new opportunity: to build a home for its community. After establishing a loyal online following and wholesale presence, this would be the first place where BRUNT could tell its complete story on its own terms.
Bergmeyer assembled a team that brought more than design expertise. We understood the lifestyle, loved the brand, and knew the customer BRUNT was inviting in. Through collaboration with founder Eric Girouard and his team, one thing became clear: authenticity mattered more than a conventionally polished flagship.
So, we leaned into it.
Concrete floors, unfinished plywood, cinder blocks, barrels, welding tables, and other jobsite regulars were given new assignments as retail fixtures. A BRUNT-wrapped NASCAR truck energizes the sales floor, while shipping-container-inspired fitting rooms make even trying on pants feel on-brand. Together, these details create a space that feels familiar, honest, and made for its customers.
The flagship also makes room for events, product launches, and community gatherings. Then there is the “Think Tank,” a customer insights room hidden behind a porta-potty. Yes, a real one. Inside, customers can preview products, offer feedback, and help shape what BRUNT creates next. It is playful, purposeful, and proof that listening can be built right into the floor plan.
Realizing the experience required an architectural transformation. Bergmeyer converted a former restaurant through a full interior and exterior renovation, adding significant features, including a garage door opening onto the sales floor. Our design and technical teams worked together to create a home for retail, product discovery, research, and events.
The result is a flagship that does not simply represent the BRUNT community. It invites them to participate. Familiar yet surprising, hardworking yet full of personality, Store 001 was built as the brand continues to grow: alongside the people who wear it every day.
