The Malin
Part workplace, part boutique hotel.

Ready to rethink what a workplace feels like? The Malin is. Since its founding in 2021, this hospitality-led workspace has blended flexible office space with the atmosphere and service of a boutique hotel, growing beyond its original New York City locations. When The Malin set its sights on Boston's Seaport, they wanted a design partner who could honor and execute their established vision while bringing local expertise to the table.
We stepped in as architect of record and collaborative partner. Working from The Malin's initial space planning and design standards, our team carried the project through design development, code compliance, technical coordination, construction documentation, and construction administration services. We worked alongside The Malin team to resolve site-specific conditions as they arose, while coordinating with the landlord’s concurrent base building work to keep both efforts aligned.
Through an iterative, collaborative process, we balanced brand consistency with the demands of the space, allowing the building’s complexities to disappear into the member experience. Every detail was coordinated to support, never compromise, The Malin’s exceptionally refined aesthetic.
The Malin’s Boston Seaport location feels less like an office and more like a boutique hotel, a reflection of the brand’s strength and its commitment to the members’ experience. We believed in that vision from the start, and we brought the rigor needed to protect it, so the finished space delivers on every detail exactly as intended.
